Galefic will be hosting a panel about the event for Genki’s new cosplay qualifier, the International Cosplay League.
How many years have you been cosplaying?
More than 10 years, but seriously not more than 4.
How were you introduced to cosplay?
I attended a convention that had many cosplayers in 2005, so I decided to try something in 2006.
What is your greatest achievement as a cosplayer?
To have fun on the stage while acting and to feel the reaction of the public; the laughs, the applause.
In your opinion, what is the the greatest thing about cosplay?
It doesn’t matter who you are; you’re there to have fun with your friends and to be your favourite characters. Cosplay allows you to experiment.
Which of your costumes is your favourite?
I love Disney villains, so I would say Gaston. I had so much fun acting as him.
Do you have a dream costume?
I had dreams costumes, but since my fandoms changed, I have also changed my mind. I would really love to cosplay as many Disney villains as possible (and not only from Disney); they always get the best songs in movies!
What is your favourite convention memory?
As Gaston, acting with my Belle. The reaction of the audience was overwhelming and I couldn’t believe that people liked it that much.
What are you looking forward to when coming to Genki?
I watched a video some years ago about a cosplay opening with some One Piece cosplayers (I didn’t watch One Piece, so may they be drag characters?), so I can’t wait to see all the cosplay shows and to meet new people!
Any final words to our guests?
I can’t wait to meet everyone and to see old friends! I’m very excited about Denmark’s ICL qualifier; Denmark one of my favourite countries when it comes to cosplay performances.
